Thanks Jim for such a delightful description of your trip to Italy. I sent it to my children to give them a taste of what it might be like to do the same. We have family roots in Lucca and someday soon I envision a trip much the same as yours. You should be a travel writer as you make the reading interesting,factual and fun!

YOU ATE RABBIT AND EEL????? The man who would only eat “macaroni with butter”??? You were very adventurous. That trip sounds delightful and makes me want to go back for a visit. And to have family show you around and have you stay in their home and eat with them is extra special.
